What the role looks like We are seeking a Resident Account Representative to join our Accounting team. This role provides resident support and manages lease administration, including move-ins, move-outs, renewals, security deposit processing, and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accurate records, timely communication, and excellent customer service throughout the resident lifecycle. What you will do

Provide a high level of customer service to our residents via email ticketing system and timely telephone interaction with polite resolution; regular and timely communication updates are required through to closure.
Perform daily lease administration functions to process move-ins, move-outs and renewals on a timely basis into the operating system with accuracy, completeness and timelines
Execute vacates within the 14-day regulatory timeframe; all move-out charges properly applied against the security deposit with remaining refund generated and issued via EFT or check
Process required banking information for creation of or withdrawal of security deposit funds at the tenant level during the move-in and move-out cycle, respectively, with reconciliation of data between the bank and the operating systems
Assist with certain accounts receivable activities, including verification letters, billing and payment discrepancies, and processing of returned checks

Your skills and experience

Basic understanding (2+ years) in tenant Accounts Receivable.

A proven track record of delivering results is required.
General comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.);
Working knowledge of real estate operating systems, in particular MRI
A strong analytical ability to collect and interpret information to solve complex problems, including tenant ledgers adjustments
Prior customer service experience essential to manage multiple customer needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Superior time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Fanatical discipline and relentless desire to do what needs to be done.
A love for doing what others won’t and solving very difficult problems.
A desire to grow and take on ever increasing responsibility.
A flexible schedule, as occasional overtime will be required.
Doing any, or all of that, in a multi-family environment would be good too.
