Description
About the Role
We're looking for a switched-on Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Full-Time contract.
This is a hands-on, transactional role at the heart of our cash flow. You’ll process a high volume of receipts, reconcile complex customer accounts across wholesalers and major retail chains, and take ownership of the deductions and claims that come with operating in FMCG.
If you thrive on volume, enjoy untangling claims and short-payments, and know your way around an ERP - this one's for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function for a high-volume ledger across wholesaler and national/independent chain customers.
- Process and allocate customer receipts, credit notes and adjustments accurately and on time in NetSuite (Oracle).
- Reconcile customer accounts, clear unallocated cash and keep aged receivables current, chasing overdue balances and disputed items through to resolution.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring receipts are matched and any discrepancies are investigated and cleared promptly.
- Support month-end close, including AR reporting, accruals and provision for doubtful debts.
- Provide receivables forecast to support accurate cashflow forecasting and inform finance planning.
- Monitor credit limits and payment terms, escalating at-risk accounts to the Senior Accountant.
Skills And Experiences
What You'll Bring
- Solid accounts receivable experience, ideally within FMCG
- Comfortable working at high volume with accuracy and a strong eye for detail.
- Hands-on ERP experience — NetSuite (Oracle) highly regarded; comparable systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, MS Dynamics) considered.
- Strong reconciliation and Excel skills.
- A self-starter who can hit the ground running and deliver to deadlines.
- A relevant qualification or progress towards one (accounting, finance or credit management).
What's On Offer
- A 12-month fixed-term contract.
- A genuinely busy, varied AR role with real ownership of claims and collections.
- A collaborative finance team and supportive leadership
- Gage Bucks — beer money allocated throughout the year
- Staff discounts on merch, food and drink across our hospitality venues
- Invites to events through our industry, sporting and entertainment partnerships
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program
