Accounts Receivable Coordinator
Location Options: Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck, ND
AE2S is excited to welcome an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to our accounting team. This is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for someone who wants to start their career in accounting, learn foundational accounts receivable skills, and grow within a supportive, team-oriented environment. In this role, you’ll play an important part in helping keep our business running smoothly while gaining hands-on experience in accounting operations.
Responsibilities
You’ll be trained and supported as you learn core accounts receivable functions, including:
- Set up new projects in the accounting system and validate billing terms against contract requirements.
- Upload or enter billing-related usage information in accounting system.
- Prepare and distribute routine customer invoices and statements.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests related to invoices, customer accounts, and accounts receivable records.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing and invoice questions, without high-volume collection.
- Complete vendor applications as requested by clients.
- Communicate clearly with internal team members to support accounting workflows.
- Follow established processes with guidance and direction.
Requirements
Basic Requirements
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Requirements
- Associate degree or related job experience specializing in accounting or related field.
Physical Requirements
- Primary functions require physical ability and sufficient mobility to work in an office setting
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement
- Fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
