ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trains newly hired AR Anesthesia Representatives and provide in-service training as needed and requested from management. Conducts quality assurance monitoring as defined by management.
- Maintains all logs related to training, QA and production for AR Anesthesia Representative.
- Oversees the quality and production quotas for assigned individuals on the team, working to represent the interests of management. Ensures outstanding AR is being processed within schedule and according to the individual insurance company plan’s policy.
- Monitors employee daily production goals and communicates production volumes to AR Anesthesia Manager.
- Communicates QA and training problems to AR Anesthesia Manager.
- Reports any consistent errors found during review that affects claims from being processed.
- Participates in all AR Anesthesia meetings. Communicates to staff any changes of policies and to provide in-service training.
- Exemplifies departmental leadership by adhering to work schedules, continuing significantly above average productivity and quality of assigned work.
- Coordinates all projects of the Patient Accounts and/or AR Management team with the manager of those assigned states.
- Communicates with various members of the AR Management team to keep them informed of any detected problems or changes in AR.
- Assists in ETM worklist as directed by AR Anesthesia Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by the AR Anesthesia Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance carriers and contracted billing procedures for multiple states.
- Knowledge of appeals and review policies for state and government plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent follow up skills.
- Ability to motivate staff to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate with professional and clerical staff required.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of IDX-BAR/ETM preferred.
- Minimum two years previous medical billing experience required with emphasis on research and claim denial in Accounts Receivable. Anesthesia experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimal. Training classes and seminar attendance may require travel.

- Set in a pleasant, high-volume, fast-paced office environment. Involves extensive computer use.
