Overview
WHO are we looking for?
CAPTRUST is seeking a Accounts Receivable & Billing Associate to support the Institutional Finance function through accurate client setup, billing coordination, reporting, revenue close activities, audit support, and cross-functional service to advisors and client teams. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative professional who can manage recurring deadlines, communicate effectively with Financial Advisors, Client Management Consultants, Accounts Receivable, and Finance leadership, and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong accountability, sound judgment, a service mindset, and the ability to work well across teams while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards. The internal title for this role is intended to be Associate II | Finance.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration and oversight of CAPTRUST agreements for the Institutional business, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and aligned with billing and operational requirements.
- Coordinate new Institutional client setup within internal systems, including the billing platform and CRM, to support accurate billing, reporting, and client metrics.
- Monitor quarterly and ad-hoc billing activity for Institutional clients, helping ensure invoices are timely, accurate, and appropriately supported.
- Prepare and maintain monthly metrics and reporting used by senior leadership to monitor all new business activity and performance.
- Partner with the Accounts Receivable Team to research and identify client payments, resolve discrepancies, and support timely cash application.
- Collaborate closely with Financial Advisors, Client Management Consultants, and their teams to address finance-related requests specific to their clients or business needs.
- Contribute to project work focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, data accuracy, and enhanced reporting.
- Support annual audit activities by gathering documentation, researching items, and responding to Finance or audit-related requests.
- Participate in the monthly revenue close process by completing assigned tasks accurately, timely, and efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or equivalent combination of training and experience required
- 1 to 3 years of Accounting/Finance Experience preferred
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft skills specifically Excel/PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills
- Microsoft 365 CRM experience preferred
- Self-starter who can prioritize with little supervision
- Detail oriented
- Works well in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
