The Role:

Nightwing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Analyst with Costpoint experience to join our finance team in Dulles, VA working hybrid. This role will focus on managing the accounts receivable functions, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and timely payment collections. The ideal candidate will have experience using Costpoint, familiarity with government contracts, and a strong understanding of billing and collections processes in a government contracting environment. 

What You'll Need:

Must have the minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in government contracting performing accounts receivable functions.
Must have Costpoint 8.2 experience
Must have intermediate knowledge of using Excel (MS 365). 
The candidate must be able to support the team onsite a few days out of the week, located in Dulles, VA. 
Must be a US Citizen

Nice-to-Have-Skills:

Experience with WAWF portal and IPP portal

What You'll Do: 

Accounts Receivable Management: 
•    Process and manage all accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing for government contracts. 
•    Review all Costs on Hold and insure they have notes and are tracked. 
•    Ensure compliance with contract terms and government regulations, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement). 


Collections and Cash Application: 
•    Actively manage aging accounts receivable to reduce overdue balances and minimize outstanding debt. 
•    Follow up with customers Bus regarding government agencies, prime contractors, or subcontractors to ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices. 
•    Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues in a timely manner with the Business Units. 


Billing Compliance: 
Ensure accurate invoicing have been issued in accordance with government contract terms and specific funding guidelines. 
•    Review contract terms and conditions, including payment schedules, and coordinate billing efforts with project managers to meet contract requirements. 
•    Generate periodic billing reports for management and stakeholders. 


Reporting and Documentation: 
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all receivables, payments, and billing activities in Costpoint. 
•    Prepare and review reports for management regarding outstanding invoices, cash flow, and collections status. 
•    Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding the financial health of contracts and collections. 
•    Be familiar with AR reports such as Revenue worksheet, Project Status reports, AR History..etc. 


Communication and Customer Relations: 
•    Maintain positive relationships with government clients and contractors to facilitate smooth billing and payment processes. 
•    Work closely with internal teams, including contracts, project management, and finance, to resolve any billing or payment issues. 


Audit and Compliance Support: 
•    Assist with audit preparation by ensuring all records are accurate and in compliance with government contracting requirements. 
•    Provide necessary documentation to external auditors during audits of accounts receivable and billing practices. 


Costpoint System Utilization: 
•    Utilize Costpoint 8.2 to process invoices, apply payments, and reconcile accounts. 
•    Ensure that data entered into Costpoint is accurate and in compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. 


What Educational Requirements You'll Need:
Must have at least 5 years of related experience to include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field OR a total of 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be substituted.
