Accounts Payable Supervisor

Purpose

Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions within the organization. Involves supervising a team, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.

Accounts Payable Supervisor Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end operations of the accounts payable team, including invoice processing, payment runs, and expense report management.
• Ensure all payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review AP transactions to make sure they are coded to the correct accounts
• Review and approve large or complex invoices, payments, and statements
• Develop and enforce accounts payable policies and procedures
• Assist AP Lead regarding any escalated issues or discrepancies
• Assist VP Lead regarding any escalated issues or discrepancies
• Assist with NetSuite Oracle Software Implementation
• Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years of AP experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
• Leadership capabilities, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Full-cycle accounts payable processes, GAAP, and compliance regulations (e.g., 1099 reporting)
• Ability to work in a fast passed, high volume, environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis)
• QuickBooks and or NetSuite experience preferred
