Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the receipt of paper and electronic invoices, organizing them for processing.

- Ensure proper documentation and approval have been obtained prior to payment.

- Oversee the invoice scanning process, including reviewing and importing invoices into the system.

- Match invoices to supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.

- Allocate multi-location invoices to the respective plants for proper expense matching.

- Manually enter invoices into the system when necessary.

- Assist with check runs to facilitate timely payments.

- Comply with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.

- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, which may vary depending on location.

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting or finance training preferred.

- Proven experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or related finance roles.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.

Work Environment:

•  Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
•  May occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection.
