Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing real estate team. This role is ideal for someone with strong reconciliation skills, real estate experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Process and review vendor invoices accurately, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely recording
• Manage high-volume AP activities across multiple entities and properties, ensuring deadlines are met
• Prepare and support AP payment runs, including processing EFT payments.
• Perform vendor statement and intercompany (AP/AR) reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Review and match bank transactions in NetSuite, investigate unmatched items, and support monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals, AP-related journal entries, and expense cut-off accuracy
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and documentation requirements
• Support tenant recovery processes and review lease terms to validate expense allocations
• Collaborate with internal teams (property management, accounting) to ensure accuracy and completeness of expenses
• Support audits and provide documentation as required

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Accounts Payable experience (real estate or property management preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite experience is an asset)
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with multiple entities and high transaction volumes
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
• Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn new processes and systems
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
