Position Overview

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee AP operations across multiple nursing home facilities.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling high-volume AP within the nursing home or long-term care space. The right candidate will be comfortable communicating with vendors, facility staff, and internal departments while ensuring invoices, payments, and records are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes across multiple nursing home facilities
• Review, process, and reconcile high-volume invoices and vendor payments
• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, discrepancies, and payment status
• Work closely with facility administrators and internal departments to resolve AP issues
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliations
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on discrepancies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience within nursing homes or long-term care facilities
• Strong understanding of high-volume AP processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple facilities and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
