We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records in compliance. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial concepts. Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper approval before payment
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely payment of obligations
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or data entry and reporting
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls
- Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation
- Assist in payroll management and benefits administration as needed
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making
- Proven experience in accounts payable or corporate accounting
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry
