Accounts Payable Specialist
Pride Health is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for one of its healthcare clients in Allentown, PA. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with the possibility of extension, with competitive pay and benefits.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Allentown, PA 18101 Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Onsite Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will have experience processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience working with computerized Accounts Payable systems.
- Knowledge of computers and software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices, credit memos, check requests, and other payment-related documents accurately and on time.
- Support payment preparation and disbursement processes, including positive pay files and void check files.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices and credit memos are properly processed.
- Maintain vendor master file accuracy by identifying and communicating changes to vendor information.
- Process vouchers in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify prepaid invoices and properly establish them within the ERP system.
- Support the corporate credit card program by identifying eligible vendors, allocating transactions, and completing required approvals.
- Review and resolve Accounts Payable exception reports, including Received Not Invoiced (RNI), Vendor Returns, Cost/Quantity Errors, Invoices on Hold, and Out-of-Balance reports.
- Maintain accurate databases and records to ensure current and reliable financial information.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders through exceptional customer service.
