Position Overview

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor account management, statement reconciliations, payment processing, and expense auditing. You will work closely with vendors and internal departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounts Payable

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
• Review, code, and enter invoices into accounting systems
• Verify supporting documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation

Invoice Processing and Payment Administration

• Manage invoice approvals and payment workflows
• Coordinate scheduled payment runs, including check disbursements and limited ACH transactions
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
• Monitor outstanding invoices and payment schedules

Vendor Account Reconciliation

• Reconcile vendor statements and accounts
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
• Communicate with vendors regarding account questions and payment status
• Maintain professional vendor relationships through effective communication

Financial Accuracy and Compliance

• Audit expense reports and credit card statements for accuracy and policy compliance
• Review financial information to identify discrepancies and errors
• Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records
• Support accounting processes that promote operational efficiency and accuracy

What We're Looking For

Experience

• Previous Accounts Payable, Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Payable Clerk, or General Accounting experience required
• Experience processing invoices and managing vendor accounts preferred
• Dealertrack experience is a plus
• Experience with accounting software or dealership management systems is beneficial

Skills

• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes
• Experience with invoice coding, payment processing, and account reconciliation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
