Accounts Payable Specialist

We are growing and are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. Daily responsibilities include: 

• Perform accounts payable duties such as verifying all invoices for payment, ensuring expenditures are charged to the appropriate accounts and proper approval has been documented.
• Assist with the check run process and reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Recording cash transactions within the accounting system.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Assisting with the month end closing processes.
• Providing quarterly reporting of capital expenditures.
• Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements.
• Practice effective communication by maintaining regular contact with the Controller. 
•  Work in an honest and ethical manner; always maintain confidentiality.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate initiative and possess the following skills and knowledge:

• A two-year accounting degree
• 3+ years of experience in processing accounts payable
• Knowledge in South Dakota Sales and Use Tax
• QuickBooks Experience
• Excellent organizational, time management, communication and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to change and work well in a team setting.
