Accounts Payable Specialist

As GZA continues to grow, our Corporate Finance Department is expanding with it! We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Norwood, MA. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume AP environment and enjoys collaborating as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate AP voucher entry
• Apply correct general ledger and project codes to the AP vouchers
• Assist (internal clients) with preparation of electronic Purchase Orders
• Respond to vendor phone and mail inquiries
• Review and process employee expense reports bi-weekly
• Coordinate processing of vendor payments weekly, including checks & E-checks
• Promptly communicate any vendor pricing or payment timing issues and assist in resolving disputed terms or transactions
• Complete vendor statement reconciliations monthly
• Assist with 1099 preparation
• On occasion, ability to travel to other GZA office locations
• GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities 

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field and 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a professional services environment
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with Deltek Accounting Software is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change, evolving technologies, and AI-driven tools

The salary for this position may range between $26-32/hr. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
