Accounts Payable Specialist – Baton Rouge, LA

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a growing accounting team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, reconciling accounts payable transactions, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working both independently and within a fast-paced team environment.

Essential Duties:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports
• Match invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process electronic payments and vendor disbursements
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and journal entries
• Prepare and process 1099s and other tax-related documentation as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other departments to obtain approvals and resolve invoice issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements/Skills:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum of two years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software and financial systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must possess valid identification and authorization to work
