What You'll Do
- Reviews vendor invoices and management check requests – matches vendor invoices with supporting documents
- Codes invoices and check requests with proper account distribution
- Enters vendor invoices and check requests into the system to set up payment
- Generates unpaid register for review by management
- Prepares and processes accounts payable checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments based on management’s selection from the unpaid register
- Reconciles vendor accounts as needed
- Carries out payables analysis and other reporting activities as requested and according to specific deadlines
- Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Resolved invoice discrepancies
- Maintains unpaid and paid vendor files
- Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years of accounts payable and general accounting experience is required
- Must have knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Must be proficient with MS Office software (particularly MS Excel) and be familiar with Peachtree
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Must be able to troubleshoot
- Must be able to handle confident information in a secure manner
