Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing accounts payable and general accounting support to the Property Accounting & Hospitality Accounting teams, and will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices:

Position Responsibilities

• Daily review and processing of a high-volume of invoices for accuracy, documentation, authorization while ensuring in adherence with Amacon policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements
• Prepare and perform bi-weekly and ad hoc cheque runs, including preparation of cheques for mail, or other special instructions
• Respond to queries from vendors and other user groups in a timely manner
• Monitor AP aging report to ensure invoices are processed and cleared in a timely manner
• Process and enter employee expense report information
• Prepare various reconciliations including credit card, commissions, contracts, and chargebacks on a regular basis documenting and looking into any discrepancies
• Perform support function including filing, scanning, and general administration
• Other ad-hoc requests as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience: Basic accounting background
• Education: Post-secondary education preferred
• Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager 7S is an asset
• Great attitude and team player
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all team members inside and outside of accounting at all levels within the organization

• Effective organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks
• Excellent communication; verbal, written and listening skills
• Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties
• High degree of accuracy, strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
