ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Reports to: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Status: Regular, Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location: Hybrid (Anchorage, AK; Oak Ridge, TN; Colorado Springs, CO; Reston, VA)

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations of our accounts payable function. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

This is a two (2) level job progression.  Progression between job levels is based on performance of prior assignments and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma
  2. 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  3. Associate Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) preferred
  4. Deltek CP experience preferred

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST II

  1. Associate Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) or combination of 2:1 experience, education, and training.
  2. Three (3) years of progressive accounting experience; with at least one (1) year at The Aleut Corporation as Accounts Payable Specialist.
