What You’ll Take Ownership Of: 

The Accounts Payable Specialist position plays an important role in the financial stability of Acme Tools. This position is responsible for:

• Reviewing, matching and processing purchase orders, invoices, and statements for payment
• Identifying, investigating, and resolving vendor account discrepancies
• Coding, verifying, and entering invoices
• Additional duties within the Corporate Accounting department
• Weekly meetings with management on progress and status of open issues
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Need-To-Haves: 

• Exceptional attention to detail, data input, and accuracy
• Strong technology skills; Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to keep a high degree of confidentiality of information
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy as well as being a team player
• Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally

Love-To-Haves: 

• Associates’ Degree in Accounting, related field OR equivalent experience
• Prior direct accounts payable experience, including purchase order matching and disbursements to vendors
