Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Representative compiles and maintains accounts payable records, completes payments, and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

Salary for this position is $50K-$60K a year based on experience.

What You'll Do:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment, and input invoices for payment
• Process check requests and set up invoice payment runs
• Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, and research and correct discrepancies
• Communicate vendor address changes to the appropriate personnel
• Assist in month-end closing, as well as year-end and ad hoc audits
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices
• Assist with other projects as needed and support other accounting functions

What We Need from You:

• Associate's Degree in Accounting
• 2 years of accounts payable experience in a manufacturing setting, foundry preferred
• General math, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
• Efficient time management skills with strong attention to accuracy, detail, and organization
• Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to operate a PC (including Microsoft software, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), calculator, and other miscellaneous office equipment
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
