The Role
In this role, you will support accounts payable and general ledger functions through our electronic payables system, helping ensure invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day accounts payable process in NetSuite, including invoice coding and payment processing.
- Review invoices for accuracy and help ensure timely approvals within the electronic payables system.
- Post invoices to the general ledger on a regular schedule.
- Process weekly payments for all companies by check, ACH, and credit card.
- Maintain organized records, including check run reports and supporting documentation in SharePoint.
- Work with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, reconcile statements, and keep vendor records current.
- Record monthly credit card activity and ensure supporting documents are properly submitted and stored.
- Help ensure invoices are paid on time and vendor discounts are captured whenever possible.
- Support monthly close activities and respond to audit-related requests.
- Prepare year-end 1099 forms, tax-exempt certificates, and credit applications as needed.
- Take on other related duties as assigned to support the team.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to three years of related experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a similar role required.
- Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare routine reports accurately.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, general ledger systems, and accounting software.
