- Manage the day-to-day AP operations from start to finish including and not limited:
- Vendor/Supplier onboarding and set-up
- Vendor/Supplier relations, resolution and strengthen partnerships
- Expense classification review
- 2-way and 3-way vendor bill matching
- Bill processing and bill payment to all vendors
- Develop guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain integrity of the general ledger expense account and inventory records.
- Monitor, manage and improve approval workflows to ensure proper approval and payments are made correctly and in a timely manner.
- Cultivate a strong culture of proactive issue resolution and partnership across the company and externally with vendors.
- Manage the AP financial close activities and related reporting, including AP aging review, trend analysis, and subledger to general ledger reconciliation.
- Review, monitor and continually improve accounts payable processes and controls in alignment with the overall control environment.
- Drive continuous improvement through the establishment and timely reporting of accounts payable KPIs including data accuracy, completeness and timeliness of vendor bill processing and payment.
- Manage the 1099, W9 and W8 reporting and filing process.
- Train, hire and supervise Accounts Payable staff and foster a supportive working environment.
- Maintain professionalism and organizational confidentiality.
- Perform other special projects or duties when required.
- 2 -3 years of AP leadership experience in a fast-paced environment highly preferred
- Proven experience working in or managing operations across multiple locations
- Experience in a retail or FMCG organization preferred, not required.
- Familiar with general accounting principles and standards.
- Microsoft Excel and PC proficiency.
- QuickBooks or other accounting software experience preferred.
- Action-oriented and solution-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and customer service approach.
- Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change.
- Highly accurate and detail oriented.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is highly preferred, not required or equivalent level of experience and management.
