POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Accounts Payable Manager                                          FLSA STATUS: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Accounting and Finance Dept.                     UNION STATUS: None

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer                                      PAY RANGE: $70,000 - $80,000

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions within the organization. Involves supervising a team of accounts payable professionals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Drives process improvements and uses technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the payment process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience and 5+ years of managing 2 or more staff. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial reporting practices and internal controls. Preferred experience in LIHTC industry, Affordable Housing, or Public Housing Agency. This position requires a results‐oriented individual with excellent analytical and communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Yardi and CPA is desirable.
