Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team in Provo, UT. In this role, you will own and manage the full-cycle AP and corporate credit card programs, while also supporting our payroll operations. You will lead and manage a team, serving as a key contributor to our Finance organization with the opportunity to improve processes, drive efficiency, and work cross-functionally across the organization. This role requires the exercise of genuine discretion and independent judgment on significant matters.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Manage the end-to-end AP process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval routing, and payment disbursement
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices in accordance with payment terms
- Maintain and reconcile the AP sub-ledger and resolve discrepancies
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for AP inquiries
- Implement and enforce AP policies, controls, and best practices
- Lead, mentor, and manage the AP team, overseeing day-to-day workload distribution, performance, and professional development
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities related to AP, including accruals and account reconciliations
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to AP-related audit requests
Corporate Credit Card Program
- Administer the corporate credit card program, including card issuance, limit management, and policy enforcement
- Review and reconcile monthly credit card statements, ensuring proper coding, supporting documentation, and timely submission by cardholders
- Identify and follow up on policy exceptions or non-compliant transactions
- Partner with department heads to ensure accurate expense categorization and budget alignment
- Serve as a direct resource for employees with questions or issues related to corporate credit cards and transactions, providing guidance and resolution as needed
Payroll Support
- Assist the payroll team with data collection, review, and processing as needed
- Help ensure payroll journal entries and reconciliations are accurate and completed on time
- Support payroll-related inquiries from employees in coordination with HR and Finance
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related finance role
- Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting principles; experience in a SOX-compliant environment is a plus
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction environments with accuracy and efficiency
- Experience administering corporate credit card or expense management programs
- Familiarity with payroll processes and willingness to assist in a support capacity
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Prior experience managing or supervising a team is strongly preferred
- Must be able to exercise genuine discretion and independent judgment on significant matters
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
