Account Payable Clerk
Description:
We’re looking for someone who is steady, reliable, and takes pride in getting the details right. This role would be a good fit for someone who likes structure, enjoys keeping things organized, and understands the importance of accurate financial records in a busy operating business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Entering vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Matching invoices to purchase orders, work orders, packing slips, or approvals as required
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy, coding, GST, and proper authorization
- Preparing vendor payments and cheque/EFT runs
- Reconciling vendor statements and following up on discrepancies
- Maintaining organized A/P records and vendor files
- Communicating with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice questions
- Assisting with month-end processes and account reconciliations
- Supporting the accounting team with filing, reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed
Schedule:
Full time, Monday to Friday, some flexibility on hours.
Wage:
Hourly, starting at $23/hour, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits program, including Health Spending Account.

Qualifications/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting administration experience
- High school diploma
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Experience with Sage 50 would be considered an asset
- Experience in transportation, oilfield services, or a service-based business would be considered an asset
