Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk 

Location: Edmond, OK

Description

Orion Security Solutions (OSS) is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to become a valuable part of our accounting team. In this role, you will help manage accounts payable functions and contribute to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management: Accurately review and process vendor invoices, matching them to purchase orders. For invoices without purchase orders, secure internal approval and ensure correct coding.
• Vendor Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, communicate directly with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or inquiries, and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Cross-Training: Gain hands-on experience in processing credit card transactions and assist with other related tasks as needed.
• Ledger Maintenance: Keep accounting ledgers up to date with accurate information, including billing addresses and invoice numbers.
• Team Support: Offer assistance to colleagues in the accounting department with various clerical tasks and special projects.
• Compliance: Adhere to company policies and follow supervisor’s guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• A keen eye for detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong communicator.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while collaborating effectively with a team.
