Accounts Payable Clerk

The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for an organized and team-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner and processing payment requests from multiple business units.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Accounts Payable Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:

• Enter and code a high volume of invoices into the ERP system
• Follow up with vendors and internal departments on any invoice issues
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices
• Reconcile statements and purchase orders
• Match cheques and electronic payments
• Complete vendor credit applications

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• At least one year of related accounts payable experience
• Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration or accounting
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent organizational skills and planning skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently

The base pay range for this role is: $45,000 to $52,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
