Job Title: AP Clerk

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: From $20.00 - $21.00/per hour (Full-time)

Description:
Foodland Super Market, Ltd., a locally owned and operated company serving Hawai‘i for over 75 years, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk. This role provides essential accounting and clerical support to the finance department, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The AP Clerk plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Duties, Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Data entry of financial transactions in general ledger
• Research issues and/or discrepancies
• Follow established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
• Prepare reports and summaries of financial data
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of data

Skills & Abilities

• Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Must have strong verbal/written communication skills
• Must have ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under time constraints with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to work in a face paced, high volume environment
• Ability to work well with others
• Must be able to handle confidential/sensitive information with the utmost professionalism
• Must be able to live by and embrace our core objectives of providing accurate work product
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements including dress code
• Customer service skills helpful

Education & Experience

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus
• Minimum 2 years business/accounting experience required
• Microsoft Office products experience with proficiency in Excel required
• 10-key by touch required

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally carry up to 25 pounds
