Location: Chesapeake, Virginia (In-Office)
Pay: $24-26 per hour

Map Communications, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Chesapeake. This is an in-office position where you will have a direct impact on our team's financial reporting. You will work closely with our Accounting and management teams.

What You Will Do:
As an Accounts Payable Associate, your duties will include:
- Receive and evaluate vendor invoices
- Seek invoice approvals from appropriate responsible parties
- Ensure vendor invoices are coded to the proper general ledger accounts
- Enter invoices in the ERP system
- Pay the invoices weekly
- Prepare related excel schedules for management
- Limited filing
- Special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Qualifications: 1 year experience in Accounts Payable or general office environment preferred
- Education: College degree a plus, but not required
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and a strong numerical aptitude.
- Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication
