Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable & Billing (Part-Time)

Department: Finance

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Aptiv is a nonprofit, mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to help keep our accounts payable and billing processes running smoothly. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys accounting work, values accuracy and confidentiality, and wants their work to directly support a meaningful mission.

What You’ll Do

•  Process accounts payable, including requisitions, data entry, and payments (checks and EFTs)
•  Follow up on missing receipts or approvals
•  Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate accounting data
•  Create and process billing invoices
•  Help improve accounting systems and workflows
•  Provide backup support for other finance functions (journal entries, deposits, cash posting, reporting, grants)
•  Work with staff and vendors to resolve questions or discrepancies
•  Support related entities such as the Aptiv Foundation and Opportunity Enterprises
•  Other duties as assigned by the CFO

Nice to Have

•  Associate degree in accounting or related field
•  1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, billing, or general accounting
•  Experience with Microsoft Office and Google tools

Schedule & Work Environment

•  Part-time with a flexible schedule
•  Office-based role with regular computer and data entry work
•  Occasional local travel may be required
