Accounts Payable Accountant

General Function: The Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payables in compliance with hospital policies and accounting standards. This position ensures the accuracy and timeliness of payments while maintaining strong internal controls and supporting the overall financial health of the hospital.

Educational Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.Experience Requirements: 2–4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred. Relevant accounting, finance, or accounts payable internship experience may be considered toward this requirement.​​​​​​​Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel​​​​​​​Special Requirements: -Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). -Familiarity with healthcare accounting and vendor payment processes -Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. -Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. -Interest in healthcare finance and hospital operations. -Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. -Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills -Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
