Accounts Payable - Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our medical laboratory. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling Accounts Payable and supporting the financial functions of the office. This position requires strong administrative skills, a moderate understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• ·         Prepare and maintain patient information, medical records, and office files with confidentiality.
• ·         Coordinate office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• ·         Log all paper checks for bank deposit.
• ·         Handle Accounts Payable and payment tracking.
• ·         Post Credit Card receipts, process refunds, and reconcile financial discrepancies.
• ·         Maintain accurate financial records and assist with monthly reconciliation of accounts.

Required Qualifications:

• ·         Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• ·         Proven experience of 5-10 years of accounting, billing, and financial management.

Skills:

• ·         Strong proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• ·         Familiarity with accounting software and medical billing systems (e.g., QuickBooks, BillPay, NextGen, or similar).
• ·         Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• ·         Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information.
• ·         Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions:

• ·         Full-time In-Office position with regular office 8am-5:30pm hours.

Physical Requirements:

• ·         Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer for data entry.
• ·         Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 20 lbs).
