Accounting Trainee/Administrative Assistant

Tempe, AZ | $19.00 – $22.00/hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday 

Arizona Home Care is a locally owned home health and infusion company serving patients across the Valley  — and we're looking for someone who wants more than just an admin job. This role is structured as an entry-level accounting trainee position: you'll support front office operations while working directly alongside our accounting team, gaining hands-on experience with financial processes and a clear path to grow into a more advanced accounting role over time.

Schedule: 

• Full-Time, Monday-Friday  
• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the accounting team with entry-level financial tasks, including accurate and timely cash posting 
• Maintain accurate financial and administrative records 
• Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and document preparation 
• Manage office supply inventory and keep common areas stocked and organized 
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries 
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally 
• Greet visitors and staff with a welcoming front desk presence 
• Support accounting and operations teams with special projects as assigned 

Required: 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
• Professional phone manner and strong communication skills 
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude 
• Commitment to confidentiality; HIPAA compliance awareness a plus 
• Eagerness to learn and grow into an accounting role 

Preferred: 

• 1+ year of administrative, clerical, front desk, or office support experience  
• Interest in accounting, finance, or business operations  
• Experience with cash handling or basic accounting tasks 
• Background in a healthcare, medical office, or insurance setting
