The Accounting Technician plays a key role in supporting the company's day-to-day administrative and financial operations. Recognized for their attention to detail, organizational skills, and versatility, the successful candidate will manage daily accounting activities while helping maintain efficient processes and providing excellent service to employees, customers, and suppliers.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Process customer invoicing and follow up on accounts receivable.
- Manage accounts payable and prepare supplier payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and routine accounting entries.
- Assist with payroll processing, including employees governed by the CCQ.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports required by the CCQ.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and administrative records.
- Collaborate with external partners and provide required documentation as needed.
- Support various administrative tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the business.
ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- DEP in Accounting, DEC in Accounting and Management, or equivalent education.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Knowledge of CCQ requirements and reporting is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with Acomba, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
- English is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a family-owned SME environment where versatility is highly valued.
WORK LOCATION : Charlemagne, Quebec. Family-owned business temporarily operating from a home office. Hybrid work environment with remote work possibilities.
