What You Will Accomplish With Us
As an Accounting Technician, you will be at the core of our operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, reinsurance statements, and various invoices;
- Calculate and process bonus payments for group insurance brokers;
- Participate in month-end and year-end activities and ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day accounting operations;
- Perform accounting and financial analyses to support results interpretation;
- Calculate and process commissions paid to group insurance brokers on a quarterly basis;
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, leveraging technologies, and experimenting with artificial intelligence tools;
- Participate in cross-functional team projects aimed at optimizing processes and ways of working;
- Gradually develop more advanced financial analyses based on your interests and strengths.

We are looking for someone who:
- Is recognized for their rigor, organizational skills, and attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to connect information from various sources;
- Shows autonomy and sound professional judgment;
- Has strong technical skills, particularly in Excel (intermediate level), and an interest in technology and artificial intelligence tools;
- Has 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, complex billing, or financial operations (DEC in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent);
- Demonstrates discretion and integrity when handling confidential information, with sensitivity to compensation-related matters;
- Has strong proficiency in French (spoken and written), as this role requires communicating, producing documentation, and collaborating primarily in French on a daily basis;
- Has knowledge of group savings and group insurance (an asset).
