- Assist in the preparation and completion of assurance and advisory engagements for a variety of clients
- Participate in a supporting role on consulting engagements
- Effectively respond to client and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner; escalate issues as appropriate
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members regarding job status and potential issues
- Provide bookkeeping support for both clients and internal teams
- Review client information and prepare query lists for managers
- Prepare and maintain accurate client files in a paperless environment
- Perform basic analysis on client files as directed by management
- Actively build technical knowledge and progress toward professional development goals
What you bring to the table:
- A diploma/certificate/degree from a post-secondary institute in business administration, accounting or finance
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in public practice or professional services environment
- Working knowledge of Canadian accounting frameworks (PSAB, ASPE, IFRS exposure considered an asset)
- Eligible or planning to pursue CPA designation (PEP or PREP)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, TaxPrep, Sage 300 (ACCPAC), Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online is an asset
- Comfortable working with and adapting to new technologies and digital tools

Job type: Permanent, Full-time
Your schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
