Accounting Support Specialist

The Golden Rule Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for supporting our accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process incoming payments.
• Receive, process, and reconcile statements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Generate and review monthly reports.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
• Manage and execute extensive data-analytics projects.

Qualifications

• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability.

Education and Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 2–4 years of general accounting experience
• 2–4 years of experience working with accounts receivable and accounts payable
