Job Description:
CSI is seeking an entry-level Accounting Support Specialist to support our accounting team in Paducah, KY. This position plays a key role in daily administrative and financial operations, including check processing, payment entry, and general clerical support. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a foundation in accounting and finance, with opportunities for growth into roles such as Billing or Accounts Receivable.
Key Responsibilities
Sort and distribute incoming mail, including accounts payable documentation
Assist with cash receipts processing and serve as backup support for check deposits
Prepare and process remote check deposits
Enter payments and financial data into Workday
Support expense report processing and general administrative tasks for the accounting team
Record and maintain financial transactions and update customer account information
Communicate with internal departments, vendors, and customers to resolve payment-related inquiries
Assist with basic bookkeeping and account reconciliation tasks
Generate reports and maintain accurate financial records
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience or internship experience (administrative or accounting preferred)
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent education/training)
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Workday experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided)
Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite in Paducah, KY due to the nature of the work (including handling physical checks and deposits)
Standard schedule is Monday–Friday during business hours
Limited flexibility may be available, but core responsibilities require in-office presence
