The Accounting Support Specialist - Accounts Receivable is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, processing payments, and reconciling customer accounts to support cash flow and financial reporting. The specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and improve collection efforts. By maintaining detailed records and generating reports, this role contributes to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the accounting department. Ultimately, the Accounting Support Specialist helps safeguard company revenue and supports strategic financial decision-making through diligent accounts receivable management. Also, an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist, creates and sends accurate customer invoices on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience with administrative, receivables or financial processes
- Proficiency in Great Plains, SharePoint, Excel, Spectrum, SalesForce, and AvaTax
Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Preparing and sending invoices to clients
- Manage and be responsible for AR email inbox on daily basis
- Manage customer portals
- Manage customer tax exempt/direct pay certificates
- Maintain accurate invoice submission data
- Collect payments from customers and ensuring timely payment collection
- Respond to all internal and external questions regarding customer account issues
- Collects and verifies credit applications in customer account setup process
- Backup invoicing for other AR departments
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Clarity of vision at varying distances to read, review, and assure accuracy of financial statements and reports
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
Education
Required Degree Level: High School Diploma

- Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with all levels within the company
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail a must
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Must be timely and efficient to process time-sensitive accounts and be able to multi-task

Compensation Range: $21.50 - $26.25 per hour
The compensation range listed for this position represents ONEMESA's good-faith estimate of the pay range it reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible employees may participate in ONEMESA's profit-sharing program and benefit offerings; which includes health insurance, 401(k) with generous company match, paid time off, and other company-sponsored benefits. Eligible travel and field employees may also receive additional benefits and incentives, including per diem allowances, cell phone stipends, and single-occupancy hotel accommodations.
Hybrid work environment (2 days in office at our Tulsa, OK office location), schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST.
