Accounting Supervisor / Future Accounting Manager

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong accounting foundation who is eager to lead by example and eventually manage a team of two Accounting Clerks. This position is highly visible within the organization and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on financial operations and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accounting accuracy.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Mentor, train, and eventually supervise two Accounting Clerks.
• Take ownership of special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Challenge existing processes and recommend better ways of doing business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ERP experience preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but not required.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
