Responsibilities
- Execute standard journal entries with precision and accuracy, contributing to the financial heartbeat of our operations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure everything adds up—your attention to detail will make a real impact.
- Compile and prepare financial reports that help leaders make informed decisions.
- Use cutting-edge tools and technologies to analyze financial data and create compelling visualizations.
- Take advantage of professional development sessions and mentorship from experienced finance professionals who want to see you succeed.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Commerce or Business Administration degree program.
- In good academic standing with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- 0–2 years of experience – we’re here to help you build it!
- Comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
- A quick learner who’s curious and always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Passionate about the shipbuilding, defense, or marine industry and excited to be part of a fast-paced organization.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
