JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
This position performs a variety of accounting tasks, such as accounts receivable and accounts payable, general ledger bookkeeping, payroll tasks and bank statement reconciliation.
Essential Functions
- Perform reconciliations for bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Enter and process vendor invoices.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Generate and review accounts receivable aging reports.
- Collaborate with customer service representatives to follow up on past due accounts and support collection efforts.
- Enter payroll-related data and assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Support nonprofit financial processes by entering and tracking receipts, accounts payable transactions, and outgoing payments.
- Process sales and use tax to vendor invoices in accordance with state-specific regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist with audit preparation, financial reporting, regulatory reporting as needed.
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional accounting tasks.
- Provide administrative and front office support as needed.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technology.
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position are mainly able to do sedentary work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently will need to sit, stand, walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Base hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Travel
No travel is required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in Accounting or a related field and/or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
