This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures as it pertains to Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilties:
- Responsible for daily invoicing of Direct Shipment orders
- Responsible for entering and posting cash receipts for non-factor accounts
- Responsible for applying and reconciling payments from non-factor accounts
- Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries at the end of month with supporting documentation
- Responsible for managing, reconciling, and collecting payments on PayPal for employee orders
- Responsible for reconciling local A/R Reserve accounts
- Responsible for assuring timely and accurate invoicing
- Responsible for assisting in month end closing and reports.
- Responsible for assisting manager with collections for factor and non-factor accounts
- Responsible for assisting with daily sales spreadsheets and balancing to the General Ledger
- Responsible for assisting manager with gathering and providing appropriate documentation for audit requests
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; or a minimum of four years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices
- Working knowledge of auditing practices and principles
- Working knowledge and experience with related computer applications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) as well as experience with pivot tables
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
- Good communication skills (written and oral) in order to effectively communicate and report information to all levels of the Company
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and have the ability to perform the job under a moderate to high level of stress
- Ability to prioritize work and answer questions related to work assignments
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on a daily basis
