Accounting Specialist

Mercedes‑Benz of Richmond is seeking a detail‑driven, organized, and dependable Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely processing of all vehicle sales, financial documents, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Process all new and pre‑owned vehicle billing, including retail, lease, wholesale, and dealer trades
- Verify accuracy of sales documents, contracts, titles, and funding paperwork
- Submit and track DMV documentation and ensure compliance with state and manufacturer requirements
- Reconcile schedules related to vehicle inventory, contracts in transit, and accounting records
- Communicate with sales, finance, and management teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized digital and physical records for audits and reporting
- Support the accounting office with additional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership billing or accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of DMV processes, title work, and dealership documentation
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (Tekion, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to customer service

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of title processing or dealership administrative experience preferred.
