Position Overview:

. Under the supervision of the Treasurer/Director of Admin Services, performs duties that include, but are not limited to recording and accounting for all receipts received by the Conference and/or Board of Pensions; completing weekly accounts payable functions; and the monthly reconciliation of accounts. The position’s work is also directed by the Controller in other general accounting procedures, reporting and analysis as the need arises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recording and accounting for all receipts received by the Conference, including the recording of church remittance, Conference Camp, income and cash receipts. 
  • Complete monthly journal entries and maintain account reconciliations for credit cards.
  • Assist the Controller in month end, year-end closing, audit preparation, and financial statement preparation
  • Complete weekly accounts payable, including monthly grants and gift disbursements.
  • Special analytical or reporting projects as assigned, including 1099’s and tax documents.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: 

Associates Degree in relevant area, e.g., Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college with a minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience required, four (4) or more years strongly preferred.
