Job Title: Accounting Specialist Division: Civil

Reports To: Civil Foreclosure Supervisor FLSA Status: Exempt

Role Summary

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing and reconciling financial transactions related to civil foreclosure actions, garnishments, and Sheriff's sales. This position ensures the accurate receipt, processing, tracking, and disbursement of funds in compliance with Louisiana law, court orders, and internal policies. The Accounting Specialist serves as a key financial liaison between the Sheriff's Office, courts, attorneys, financial institutions, and the public, while maintaining detailed and auditable financial records.
