Accounting Specialist

If you're looking for more than just an accounts payable position, this could be the opportunity for you. As an Accounting Specialist at BRECOflex, you'll work closely with the Controller and gain exposure to a wide range of accounting functions, including reconciliations, tax compliance, month-end close activities, and process improvements. We are seeking someone who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career within our accounting team.

What You'll Do

• Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and account maintenance.
• Perform bank, credit card, and expense report reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns while maintaining compliance documentation.
• Support month-end close activities, journal entries, and general accounting functions.
• Maintain organized accounting records and assist with internal controls and process improvements.
• Partner with the Controller on special projects and gain exposure to broader accounting responsibilities.
• Cross-train in various accounting functions to support departmental continuity and professional growth.

What We're Looking For

• Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.
• Experience with sales and use tax filings preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; experience with SAGE 100, ERP systems, and expense management platforms is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $55,000- $70,000 based on experience
