Accounting Specialist

Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our client's accounting team and work alongside their Controller. This is a newly created position designed to provide additional support as the company continues to grow, while also serving as a cross-trained backup for key accounting and administrative functions.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections as needed
• Support weekly payroll processing, including timesheet review and payroll preparation
• Maintain employee records and assist with benefits administration
• Perform bank reconciliations and other monthly accounting tasks
• Assist with positive pay processing and cash management activities
• Support general office administrative functions as needed
• Cross-train on critical accounting processes to provide coverage during absences
• Assist the Controller with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounting, bookkeeping, or related office accounting experience preferred
• Experience with accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting functions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with accounting software is preferred
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
