Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our client's accounting team and work alongside their Controller. This is a newly created position designed to provide additional support as the company continues to grow, while also serving as a cross-trained backup for key accounting and administrative functions.

Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments
- Assist with accounts receivable and collections as needed
- Support weekly payroll processing, including timesheet review and payroll preparation
- Maintain employee records and assist with benefits administration
- Perform bank reconciliations and other monthly accounting tasks
- Assist with positive pay processing and cash management activities
- Support general office administrative functions as needed
- Cross-train on critical accounting processes to provide coverage during absences
- Assist the Controller with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years accounting, bookkeeping, or related office accounting experience preferred
- Experience with accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting functions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with accounting software is preferred
- Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
