Position Overview
The Accounting Representative is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the company’s accounting function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments. This individual is responsible reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews various documents, transactions, and worksheets relating to the accounting system; makes required entries.
- Processes invoices within the Accounts Payable System, including but not limited to, general ledger coding, inputting in the system, and printing and mailing checks.
- Assists with researching and responding to accounts payable inquiries.
- Responds to inquiries relating to their particular area, or to request from other company personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment, which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensures that all office personnel adhere to the same. Manages risk by completing all mandatory compliance and regulatory training assigned by the stated due date.
- Plays an active role in protecting the organization and its customers against fraud by incorporating risk awareness and prevention into daily responsibilities.
- Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate company personnel.
Education & Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business curriculum.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a related position normally required.
Skill(s)
Proficient reading, writing, grammar skills; proficient mathematics skills; working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate PC skills; moderate report-writing and analytical skills; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills.

Pay Transparency
